Desk Pad Lefty

The desk pad is specially designed for left-handers in the format 53 x 40 cm. It was developed by Mrs. Dr. Johanna Barbara Sattler. The Desk-Pad Lefty trains an ergonomically optimal paper and hand position for left-handers and serves as a writing aid for children, as a retraining aid for retrained left-handers or as a retraining aid for patients who have to learn to write with their left hand. The writing pad is made of plastic and can be wiped clean.

On the DESK-PAD LEFTY® for left-handers, the printed drawing specifies a sheet position and hand position, which helps the child to write in a relaxed manner. The drawing specifies a slight inclination of the sheet to the left, which is comfortable and ergonomically useful for left-handed writing.

The requirement for left-handers also satisfies the need of many left-handed children not to be disadvantaged compared to right-handed children and fulfils the need of educators not to have to exclude any group. In this way, a relaxed posture is practiced and promoted at an early stage when painting and during the first attempts at writing, and the right holding hand is also assigned a safe place.

The desk pad fits on any school desk and also belongs in the children’s room of the left-handed child.
