Desk-Pad Lefty Writing Pad

The desk pad is designed specifically for left-handers, in a 53 x 40 cm format. It was developed by Dr Johanna Barbara Sattler. The Desk-Pad Lefty trains an ergonomically optimal paper and hand position for left-handers and serves as a learning aid for children, a retraining aid for left-handers who were forced to switch hands, or a training aid for patients who need to learn to write with their left hand. The pad is made of plastic and wipeable.

On the DESK-PAD LEFTY® for left-handers, the printed diagram sets out a paper position and hand position that helps the child find a relaxed, unforced writing posture. The diagram prescribes a slight leftward tilt of the paper, which is comfortable and ergonomically sound for left-handed writing.

The pad for left-handers also answers many left-handed children's need not to feel disadvantaged next to right-handed children, and meets educators' need not to single any group out. It trains and encourages a relaxed posture early on, both for drawing and for first attempts at writing, and gives the right hand holding the paper a secure place too.

The desk pad fits on any school desk and belongs in a left-handed child's room too.
