A circle, evenly spaced blossoms, three greens: Julie from near Paris paints a flower wreath.

Hey, I’m from France and I’m living close to Paris. The favorite medium I work with is watercolour.

  1. Step 1

    The circle

First I draw a circle with the compass, which can be made larger or smaller as you prefer.

  2. Step 2

    The blossoms

Inside the circle, I draw the flower blossoms with a pencil with about the same distance between them.

  3. Step 3

    Leaves and dots

In the next step I add some leaves with stems, some loose leaves between the flowers and dots in different sizes in the middle of my circle.

  4. Step 4

    The petals

With a purple colour I paint the flower petals first. For this I recommend the KUM Memory Point round brush in a medium size. With the tip of the brush you can paint the edges of the petals very precisely and it stores enough colour to paint the whole petal in one go.

  5. Step 5

    Light green

After that I paint the leaves between the flowers with a lighter shade of green.

  6. Step 6

    Dark green and dots

The leaves of the flowers get a darker shade of green. At the end I paint the dots in the middle of the circle in different shades of purple. And that’s it – done!
