KUM Automatic | AS2, AS2M

A precision sharpener for technicians, engineers, architects, artists — for anyone who needs a long, precise pencil point. Sharpening wood and lead separately guarantees a perfect sharpening result. The automatic stop avoids unnecessary waste.

The AS 2 M additionally has two lead sharpeners that reshape 2.0 and 3.15mm leads. Two spare blades are also built into the body.

How it works:

Sharpening happens in two stages: stage 1 — only the pencil's wood is sharpened, until the lead touches the automatic stop. Further sharpening isn't possible. The exposed lead now has the right length for stage 2. Stage 2 — the lead is now shaped precisely. The automatic stop prevents extra sharpening once the final result is reached.

The result is a cone shaped at roughly 9 degrees.
