And Here's How It Works:
Sharpening happens in two phases: Phase 1 – only the wood of the pencil is removed. The chip removal is set to a TC system (Thin Cut). Phase 2 – the lead is carefully sharpened and shaped. The goal is a long, precise pencil point.
The result is a cone shape set at around 8 degrees.
This level of perfection requires: - a centred lead - first-class wood. Second- and third-grade pencils fail here.
